Gina Tchoufag - Violin

Violinist Gina Tchoufag holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where she studied with Wei He. As a part of the chamber music program, she also studied with Mark Sokol and Ian Swensen. Gina started a volunteer teaching program at the Conservatory to help bridge the gap between performance and teaching, which is now an established part of the Conservatory's outreach project. She has also held the position of concertmaster in various Bay Area training orchestras.
Passionate about excellence in teaching, she is committed to teaching at inner city schools, including Kipp Academy Middle School and Starr King elementary School. She now runs her own studio in San Francisco where she teaches violin students of all ages. A former regular Guest Teaching Artist, Gina joined the Alameda String Academy Violin Faculty in 2017.
