Register for Studio Class & the Corresponding Recital
1. Go to http://www.alamedastringacademy.com/portal.html
2. Enter your email address and the password you were sent when you first registered with ASA. If you don't know what that is, use the "Forgot your password?" link to reset your password.
3. After you login, you'll see a calendar with your lesson schedule, along with other public events. Scroll down to the date of the Studio Class that you want (ideally the class time assigned to your RTA's studio), select the event, and click "Register." Your student will automatically be enrolled in the corresponding Studio Recital.
4. If the date assigned to your RTA's studio doesn't work for you, fear not! Please feel free to register for the other group. Your RTA may not be able to be there to see you perform, but you won't miss the fun of playing. (Additionally, feel free to come early or stay later to attend both concerts and support your friends!)
5. Did you know you can auto-sync the student calendar to your own personal calendar? If you want to auto-sync your concert and lesson schedule to (e.g.) your Google calendar, you can do this by (a) changing the drop-down at the top-left of the calendar to say the student's name (rather than "Everything") and (b) hitting the Setup Sync button at the top right. Isn't technology amazing?
6. There is just one more thing: Make sure you decide EARLY with your RTA what piece will be performed, practice consistently, and enjoy seeing progress and making music!
